This Gopher is stretched about as far as it can stretch, and still keep a hind foot in it's burrow. It is extremely rare to see a Gopher completely out of it's burrow, walking about on the surface. Such a sighting is usually the result of flood, or a predator, driving the Gopher out of the safety of it's burrow.
