Bucky the Porcupine
I found "Bucky" feeding on new Wild Rose greens in Anchorage's Kinkaid Park in the spring of 2010. I call this Porcupine "Bucky" because his incisors have grown to an outlandish length. They are too long for him to feed properly. Barking trees is now beyond him. At the time I photographed this Porcupine he was using his tongue to pull soft greens into the side of his mouth. It could only go down hill for Bucky over the winter of 2010/2011.
