Sea Otters are the largest member of the Weasel family. The largest males can weigh over 100 pounds (and be more than 4.5 feet in length), which isn't too surprising given the pups can weigh 30 pounds at six months of age!

It's not often one sees a dry Sea Otter (this one was sunning in Whittier, Alaska). Sea Otters have 800,000 to 1,000,000 hairs per square inch. That's per square inch! How thick is that? The average human head has but 20,000 hairs total!
