Kruger National Park in South Africa is a must see ... no, it is a "must" experience. This is one of the few places on Earth you can view and hear and smell African elephants, and many many other species of African animals, in their natural environment. Treat yourself to a self-guided safari there, and spend a few weeks. Make sure to give cow elephants a bit of room, especially if they have calves!
