Silver Fox
I am very fond of the fox family, and especially the Silver Fox. Yes I know it is simply a color phase of the Red Fox. A melanistic (dark) form, but to me the Silver Fox, like the Cross Fox, are their own "species". I simply can't call them all "Red Foxes" though my scientific side knows full well that is the case. I cave to my emotional side in this case, they are Silver Foxes, one of this fabulous planet's many wonders! So off to San Juan Island I go. Unfortunately it blew sideways and poured rain the entire time we were on the island! Not a little wind. Not a little rain. It was a lot of both! So I used the rental car for a blind and made the best of it. Unfortunately bad light does not help the subject, especially the subject's eyes, to stand out. Why all the whining? I'm self-justifying another trip, that's why all the whining!
