White-nosed Coati
Unlike it's cousin the Raccoon, Coatis are diurnal (they hunt by day). Large males such as the one pictured here are solitary animals. I found this fellow out foraging on a very cold, blustery, dark day, with snow in the air...which doesn't allow for good sharp photos but hey; I photographed a Coati! Less than perfect photos gives me all the reason I need to go give it another go!
