Bull Musk Ox fight like bull Buffalo (Bison to you formal persons). If fairly evenly matched they butt heads, and shove. Serious matches cause a lot of grunting and snorting. Really serious matches result in flying dirt and vegetation. It is incredible how much energy is put into these contests. After witnessing a few fights I had a new respect for bull Musk Ox. After a bull sent me packing, I had more than respect. I had a new rule, which is; put some distance between me and any bull which drops it's head and starts towards me!
