Grizzly Bears of Alaska's Denali National Park
There's nothing that catches someone's attention quicker than the sharp, forcibly hissed word, "GRIZZLY!". No matter how many times one sees these creatures, you are forced, literally, to stop and stare...while glancing sideways for a safe spot. Everything about them screams "I am wild!". For me, and I suspect many others, we are more jealous of that wildness, than we are afraid of them!

I know there's a blade of grass over this old sow's snout, but I like this photo. I like it because it shows an alert bear in it's natural environ. Natural is how I prefer to see a wild Grizzly.
