When one thinks of Brown Bears and Mc Neil River they think of bears snatching salmon from the air at the quite famous Mc Neil River Falls. They don't think of Brown Bears grazing, like cattle, on sedges growing on the mud flats at the mouth of Mikfik Creek. But that is where you will find the Brown Bears in early June, grazing placidly as they wait for the Salmon to arrive. Rather than sit on a platform all day and watch bears fish at Mc Neil River Falls, at Mikfik Creek one gets to walk among the bears! It is an experience not to be missed, or forgotten.
