Milbert's Tortoiseshell Butterfly
Butterflies are one of the most easily recognized groups of insects in the world, most likely because they are literally flying flowers! The Milbert's Tortoiseshell Butterfly is a fairly common butterfly here in south-central Alaska, and I'm glad they are as they a beautiful addition to any day!
