Brown Creeper
This bird is amazingly hard to photograph, given it's almost tiny size, it's feeding style, and seriously serious camouflage! These birds fly to the bottom of a tree, then spiral upward around the trunk, in their constant search for food. They move so fast, and so steadily, that I am never in the right place at the right time … never on the "right" side of the tree. However things changed this past June 2016 when friend Arle Gray found a nest here in Anchorage. The first Brown Creeper nest which either of us had ever seen (both of us are 60 are constantly in the woods). Jackpot! I was able to spend most of a day at the nest photographing, and was able to collect a few photos which are worth looking at!
