Solitary Sandpiper
The Solitary Sandpiper is aptly named in that, unlike other Sandpipers, this species prefers it's own company rather than the company of other shorebirds. It takes it's solitary so seriously that it migrates alone, and nests in abandoned songbirds nests rather than on the ground like most of the other shorebirds!
