Yellow-rumped Warbler
The Yellow-rumped Warbler is a gorgeous bird found across North America, in two forms. The form with the white throat is often called the Myrtle Warbler, while the form with the yellow throat is often called the Audubon's Warbler. Some just lump both together as the Yellow-rumped Warbler. Since they are so different, at least in my eyes, I prefer the two different names. Both races, for the most part, are indistinct in the winter. This is that group of birds, the winter birds, or the Yellow-rumped Warbler.

I photographed this bird as it searched for insects one early January morning in San Diego, California.
