Painted Bunting
The writers at http://www.allaboutbirds.org describe the Painted Bunting as follows, "With their vivid fusion of blue, green, yellow, and red, male Painted Buntings seem to have flown straight out of a child’s coloring book". It can't be said any better than that! Even better these are fairly common finches which breed in the coastal Southeast and in the south-central U.S., where they often come to feeders. In short, many of us get to see these beautiful buntings on a regular basis. Now all I have to do is have a seat at my Mother's feeders in southeastern Oklahoma and collect a few quality photos!

Though the breast of a male Painted Bunting is not as colorful as it's back, it is still a show stopper!
