The Gray Catbird is a member of the Mimid Family. You know the Mimid Family, it includes the Thrashers and the Mockingbirds. And yes, the Gray Catbird can sing too! However, unlike the Northern Mockingbird, the Gray Catbird prefers to sing from the safety of a thicket. It's those thickets that provide this bird with it's too favorite food sources, berries and spiders!
