Golden-crowned Sparrow
During the mid-1800s many men headed to Alaska in search of gold. These gold miners had many hours to listen to the birds as they trudged along the trails. They called the Golden-crowned Sparrow "Weary Willie", as it's call sounds like "I'm so weary". Kinda' makes one want to walk weeks of trails while carrying a tremendous load....doesn't it!?
