Bohemian Waxwing
The Bohemian Waxwings range circumnavigates all the continents just below the sub-arctic latitudes. Each winter they flock by the thousands into Anchorage to feed on Mountain Ash berries, talking constantly with a clear ringing call. A large flock will strip a Mountain Ash of it's berries, then move to the next tree. During poor berry years they have been known to travel as far south as the northern tier states, in what we Alaskans call "The States".
