Belted Kingfisher
Belted Kingfishers are found from the Aleutian Islands of Alaska to Central America. More specifically these birds are most often found near water, watching for their favorite meal item...fish. While searching for fish they flit constantly from observation perch to observation perch, always looking for their next meal. Once located they often hover over their target, then plunge head first into the water.
