Cranes are among the tallest birds in the world, and the Sandhill Crane is one of the tallest. The adults can be 4' tall with a 7' wingspan! Now that's a bird! Even more impressive is their habit of "dancing". They jump, false fly, bow, beat their wings, and throw objects into the air...all the while calling (loudly) with that characteristic "garooo-a".
