This Loon is "The" loon each of is are so familiar with. Some of us are familiar with the Common Loon due to our proximity, others by story alone. But all of us know the haunting, wavering call of the Common Loon, even though this bird prefers it's own company over mans. It is a bird of solitude. Of hidden lakes. Of wilderness. The Common Loon's penchant for secluded areas, and it's mystical call, speak loudly of wild places. Places that the Loon, and we, need to be happy.
